FairSplit by DivvyMaster, Inc. is committed to protecting the privacy of everyone who visits www.FairSplit.com either directly or through our hosted client services, or through services offered to other companies and service professionals on a private labeled or co-branded basis. If you do not agree to the terms and conditions of this Privacy Policy and Conditions of Use, please do not use the DivvyMaster Services.

Information Collection and Use

Information collected on this Site will not be sold, shared or rented to others in ways that differ from those disclosed in this privacy policy. Information is collected in the form of Personal and Non-Personal information from you to enable the use of the service at various places within the application and site. Information gathered by FairSplit.com is used to enable timely, thoughtful and tailored division methods and executing the actions needed for such between parties, and their representatives.

How We Use the Information We Collect?

We may use Personal and Non-Personal Information in the following ways:
  • Fulfillment of Requests. We may use Personal Information to fulfill the purpose for which such Personal Information was provided (e.g., to fulfill your purchase or other transaction related to our services).
  • Administrative Communications. From time to time, and in the course of your division we may send you service announcement updates with important information about DivvyMaster, prompts or calls to action taking place in your division and reminders. These emails may contain information vital to your account, so users may not unsubscribe from this communication.
  • Surveys. We may occasionally request Personal Information through surveys. Participation in these surveys is voluntary. The Personal Information collected is only used for purposes of improving user satisfaction with DivvyMaster services or to communicate action needed to continue the processes provided. No Personal Information collected through these means is shared with or available to other third parties for such third parties’ direct marketing purposes.
  • Testimonials. Testimonials are used to show benefits to the services DivvyMaster provides. DivvyMaster always seeks consent prior to posting any testimonial in which Personal Information is included.
  • Customer Service. Any Personal Information obtained through your contact with our Customer Service team or communications with us, such as chat or emails, may be recorded to help us provide better service.
  • Internal Business Purposes. We may also use Personal Information about you for our internal business purposes, such as data analysis, audits, patterns, etc.
In order to establish your DivvyMaster account, we will need your name, email address and password. If you have come directly to our www.FairSplit.com site and have chosen to opt-in to the FairSplit.com emails, blogs, and discussion groups or to receive more information, we may occasionally send you updates regarding new services that may have value to you or others you know. If you or your division participants opt-in to one of our client’s e-mail address invitations, you are agreeing to that client company’s privacy policies which have no relationship to the FairSplit.com policy stated here. Depending on which (if any) of our programs or services you might have opted into, or chosen to use as a customer, your personal information will be used only to contact you. We do not sell or rent personally identifiable information that you provide unless we have your prior knowledge and consent through an opt-in authorizing such action. In the course of fulfilling your division process needs, it is sometimes necessary for your information to be made available to our Service providers. This is never done with any permission to market to or to add you to a list of that client unless you have specifically opted in to receive information from that client. If you have provided personal information to a service provider in the process of your division or related activities, that information is subject to the privacy policies of that client. The service provider, in accordance with their posted privacy policy, may retain your personal information. FairSplit.com may also provide service provider clients with division details, including the resolution of all FairSplit.com divisions originating at their site if that is how the Administration and use of the service has originated and been set up. FairSplit.com shares aggregate usage and demographics information for statistical and marketing reference, making sure to provide no personally identifiable information about our users.

IP Address Info and Cookies

We use IP addresses to collect information on the domain names of visitors, referral information indicating the location from which visitors join us, and information on which type of browser or hardware are being used to visit us. We may also analyze aggregated visitor information to examine traffic flows within this Site. IP addresses are not linked to your personally identifiable information. We use files called cookies. Opt-Out

When you register as a FairSplit.com user coming directly to our website, not through service provider clients, you may be presented the opportunity to “opt-in” to the FairSplit.com mailing list to receive updates or tips related to our services, related services and other helpful information. Any e-mails sent to you as a result of your opt-in will provide information about how to opt-out of future mailings. Opting out of a service provider’s e-mail address must be done in accordance with the Privacy Policy of that client.

This Site contains links to other Web sites. Please be aware that FairSplit.com is not responsible for the privacy practices of such other Web sites. We encourage you to be cautious when you leave our Site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Share with a Friend Program

If you use our “Share with a Friend” program to refer DivvyMaster to your friends, or others you may think could benefit from knowing about us, we will use their email addresses to send your invitation.

Children’s Privacy

Protecting the privacy of the very young is important. We never knowingly collect or maintain information at our site from those under 13 and our site is not designed to appeal to children. If we learn a Member account has been created for a person under 13 we will deactivate the account.

Notification of Changes

There is typically evolving technology and privacy issues surrounding the Internet. We may occasionally update this Privacy Policy. All revisions will be posted to this Site. Users should consult this section of the site regularly for the latest updates, and continued use reflects acceptance of those changes. If we decide to change our Privacy Policy, we will post those changes on the privacy policy section of the site so our users are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it, and under circumstances, if any, we might disclose it. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we would notify users by way of an email. Updating Your Personal Information

DivvyMaster will make an effort to keep all your Personal Information up to date. You can update your account information and change your password at any time. You will find this at ‘Personal info/settings’ on your personal My DivvyMaster page. If you have forgotten your password, you can set a new one by contacting Customer Service or following the password prompt instructions. If any of your Personal Information changes or you identify a mistake in our records, please use your account profile page to make changes.

    • Blogs, Discussion Groups. Through the Services, FairSplit may make available platforms to which you are able to post information and materials. These platforms may include, for example, user comment functionality, user discussion groups and blogs. Please note that any information you disclose through such services becomes public information, and may be available to users of the Services and to the general public. In addition, when you choose to make a posting on such services, certain Personal Information (for example, a user’s name may appear next to a blog post or a user comment) will be available for other users to view. We urge you to exercise discretion and caution when deciding to disclose Personal Information, or any other information, through the Services.
